The San Carlos Festival in Ibiza
For all of you still in Ibiza, this time of year brings exciting events, such as the San Carlos annual festival. Until the 20th of November expect to participate in celebrations that feature a wide array of cultural and sports events, as well as the best music around!
The 1st of November, also known here as San Carlos day, will be preceded by the widely appreciated Flower Power party on October 31st, an event that brings out the hippy in all of us. On the actual saint’s day, you will be able to enjoy a rather unusual car and motorcycle display presenting antique and classic pieces to the delight of the enthusiasts, followed by an amazing folk dancing program and a modern dance display in the evening.
Deeper into the night, your ears will be assaulted by popular and evergreen music, and everything will be concluded with the annual representation of people chasing away evil spirits using fireworks and dressed in unique devil costumes.
Not only the 1st of November is worth your while, as the following days will be filled with local produce tastings, walks, dances, games, concerts and evil spirits chasing, so feel free to take part in any events you set your eyes on. The San Carlos festival is one of the most appreciated events in Ibiza, so get ready to enjoy it as much as locals do. You will truly get a genuine feel of the island and what Ibiza is all about.
